On the 14th of June last Hammond
Perry Green, son of Mr. J. il. # Green,
died near Vaucluso and was buried oi:
tiie 15th, at the family burying
ground, formerly known as the Day
grave-yard. Perry Green was twenty
one years old and a former member of
the Vaucluso Division Sons of Tem
perance, and was temperate in his
habits. His funeral was preached by
Rev. W. 1). Horton in the presence of
a large number of friends and rela
tives. Mr. Wm. Turner, a brother of
lion. G. V/. Turner, is lying very low
in Vaucluec and his family is much
alarmed at his serious ilinesa.
The heavy rains still continue at
Vaueluse and have caused great dam
age not only to tho crons, but to our
railroad and to our streets.

within the legal hours of Sheriff's

ken fronting on Laurens street seven
feet and running back eighty feet,
bounded to the north by property of
D. W. Gaston, to the souih by proper
ty of H. F. Warneke, to the east by
property of said Warneke, and to the
west by Laurepe- 4 *treet.
Also, tho defendant’s interest iu
and to all that lot of land witff the
improvements thereon in-mid town
of Aiken fronting on Eaurens street
SO feet and running back 100
feet. Bounded on the north by prop
erty of Mrs. TredeuieJk, to the south
by Richland Avenup^to the east by
Laurens street, and to the west by
property of Mrs. Ann Colder-
bauk.
Also, the defendant’s interest in and
to all that lot of laud in said town of
Aiken fronting on Newberry street
two hundred and fifty feet and run
ning back one hundred and fifty feet.
Bounded to the north by an ailey, tw
tho south by the rf. C. Railway, to
the east by Newberry street, and to
the west by property of Mrs. L. Alli
son.
