Edgefield C. IB, Feb. 5.—The peo
ple of Edge Qeld village are somewhat
exercised at present about, the local
newspapers. There are already two
newspapers here, the Advertiser and
the Chronicle, and it is probable that
another one will be started here in a
short while. And there is some talk
of two new ones being started. One
of the two newspapers will be edited
by Mr. Jas. T. Bacon, and the other
one is spoken of by Dr. W. D. Jen
nings, who proposes to run his paper
in a novel way. He says he will buy
an army press and keep a movable
office, printing the paper alternately
at one and then at another of the ul
terior towns in the county. For in-
-tance, he would print one issue at
lied Hill, then at Giigal, Itiehardson-
ville, Mf. Willing, Fruit Hill, the
Dark Corner, and soon at other small
towns and villiagcs in the countv.
