Yet, notwithstanding this, the man may accidentally tell the truth, and when he does, if supported by collat eral circumstances corroborative of his statements, then his evidence ac quires the same weight that attaches to strong circumstantial evidence. We desire, however, to be distinctly understood as one who would not be lieve “Brewster, Attorney-General,” on oath, not if he swore until he turned pea green, unless his rotten oath was bolstered up by additional testimony.
