RETRACING THE FOOTSTEPS Fort Mill Subscriber Remembers Great ^ Storm of 1867. Editor Yorkville Enquirer: I am enjoying the reading of the "Footsteps of the Fathers," now being published in The Enquirer. I was at the sale of Col. Harris's personal property in 1857, and I have quite a vivid recollection of that hailstorm on the evening of May 14, 1857. The storm chose to make a path through m^ own little farm, and destroyed six acres of wheat so completely that when a neighbor and myself walked over the ground shortly afterward, we were unable to find a single standing stalk. I thank you for those reviews. J. H. Coltharp. Fort Mill, December 22. 1913. r ? j To Promote Poultry Raising in South Carolina.?Poultry work, says the Washington correspondent of the News and Courier, will be begun in South Carolina by the department of agriculture on the suggestion of Representative Lever, chairman of the house committee on agriculture. F. C. Hare, of the bureau of animal industry, has been detailed to start the organization of poultry clubs in the state in connection with the demonstration work under Mr. Long. Mr. tr??,iii Kotro hio hfiji^niiftrtera at rnai c niu iiuw ?..0 Clemson. "I regard this undertaking as of very great importance," said Mr. Lever today; "for I have never seen "why South Carolina is not as well adapted to poultry raising as is Missouri, or any of the other great poultry states. We must prepare In every way possible against the approach of the boll weevil." AT THE CHURCHES None of the Yorkville churches will hold prayer meeting services this week. COATED TONGUE * MEANS LAZY LIVEf A Lazy Liver Needs a Dose of Dodson's Liver Tone?Guaranteed to Take Place of Calomel. When your doctor looks to see if your tongue is coated, he is trying to find out if your liver is working properly. A few years ago doctors had to prescribe calomel?there was nothing else to give. Recently in many sections of the country, Dodson's Liver Tone has L , practically taken the place of calomel as a liver remedy. Dodson's Liver Tone is mild, pleasant tasting and harmless?which makes it a fine medicine for use when your children become bilious and constipated. But the most remarkable feature of Dodson's Liver Tone is the fact that the York Drug Store, who sells it. guarantees it absolutely. The druggist will return your money without argument if a bottle fails to give entire satisfaction. | Price 50 cents. We suggest that I you get a bottle today and have it ready for the next member of your family whose liver goes wrong. T Typewriter Ribbons? All kinds? At The Enquirer Office. fecial Jtotires.
