What of the Future?
Every man knows what is behind
him, but there is not one on earth today
that knows what is ahead of him
except death, and none know the day
It will come, unless they have been
tried and sentenced to death in Virginia
or Massachusetts, in Canada, or
some one of the European countries
where law is supreme. While it is a
fact that the only reliable guide we
have as to the future is the past, this
guide is not infalllb'e in every respect.
For instance, an individual may have
passed through ma ly years of successful
business experience and accumulated
quite a handsome estate and almost
without warning meet with reverses
that practically wipe out all material
gains. Can you recall instances of this
kind? If you carry life insurance in
any one of the old established companies
and never have occasion to ask
any concessions and go on paying your
premiums for a specified number of
years, provided you have a limited
payment policy or until death, if you
have an ordinary life, the company
will do exactly what it promises In
your contract. All companies are
"About the same," in this respect. On
the other hand if you stumble or fall
down no company in the world guarantees
in its policies to treat you so
liberally as does the Mutual Benefit
Life Insurance Co., and besides it is
the onlv company which applies Ev
ery Improvement made In Its new contracts
to all the old ones. A policy
written in 1847 carries every privilege
written In one Issued In 1912. I have
never met, or heard of a dissatisfied
Mutual Benefit policy holder.

"Papa," said Georgie, "it worries
me awful to think how much trouble
I give mamma."
"She hasn't complained."
"No, she's very patient. But she often
sends me to the shops for things,
and they are a good way off, and I
know she gets cross waiting when
she's In a hurry."
"Not often, I fancy."
"Oh, she's nearly always in a hurry.
She gets everything all ready for baking
and finds at the last minute she
hasn't any yeast, or she gets a pudding
mixed, and finds she hasn't any
nutmeg or something, and then she's
all ready, and maybe visitors are coming,
and I can't run a very long distance,
you know; and I feel awful sorry

TOP DRESSER
The beet authority on farming has
this to say of Top Orossor: "The growing
plants take up from the soli the
manure put in as a first application
long before It Is ready to fruit This Is
true of cotton as well as corn. From
the fine results I have obtained I believe
that the method of additional fertilizing
is the right one. Tou use this
additional fertiliser at a critical time
in the life of the plant, the time when
the plant needs all the strength It can
get In order to fruit perfectly and
hence such additional fertilization Is
absolutely necessary to get best results."
We sell Catawba Fertiliser Co.'s Top
Dresser?which has the ammonlates
exactly right. Not all Soda but a plant
food that feeds the plant when It needs
the food. This Ton Dresser is said to
be better than Soda, by thoae who have
used both. It costs much leas than
Soda. We hope our customers will try
a few sacks of Top Dresser. Also have
8-3-3 Guano.
