14 Bales-?No Insurance
Recently a Gaffney correspondent
sent out information to the effect that
a Cherokee county farmer had met
with the misfortune of having 14 bales
of cotton burned and stated that there
was no Insurance. Doubtless everybody
sympathized with the loser?people
always do?but sympathy will not
pay dents or Duy rooa ana raiment, out
insurance money, whether it be life,
fire or accident, will. For $19.60 the
owner of that cotton could have insured
the 14 bales for $40 each for a whole
year?for $19.60. Don't you suppose he
wishes he had? In case you should
have the misfortune to have a part or
all your cotton, or your dwelling and
furniture or stock of goods burned,
which do you think would give you
greater satisfaction, the sympathy of
the public fcr a few days or a check
from one of my time tried and fire
tested companies?
