co-operation of the York county pubHe
In raising a fund to be used In
prizes to stimulate corn production
in accordance with the intensive system.

$100 of the prize money through a
pro rata assessment in proportion to
the number of acres entered by each.
But the raising of this $100 in this
manner is to be conditioned on there
being entered In the contest as many
as 100 acres. Otherwise those who
enter will not be required to pay any
part of the proposed assessment. We
think it desirable to raise for premium
purposes not less than $500,
and if we succeed in raising that
amount, it will be the plan of the
committee to offer three prizes, the
first of $250. the second of $150 and
the third of $100.
All offers of subscription may be
made to the undersigned, who will
cause them to be publicly acknowledged
and forwarded to Mr. A. L.
black. Secretary and Treasurer of the
York County Farmers' Union for
record.
