News: Many butchers especially the
butchers doing business in the suburban
sections of the city and around
the cotton mills, are going out of business
on account of the scarcity of
beef cattle. Never before in the history
of the city has cattle been as
scarce as at present. A well known
butcher in discussing the scarcity of
cattle today said that everything pointed
to an increase in the price of fresh
meat in the near future. The butchers
have already been served with notice
that the price of western beef will
be advanced and just as s<H?n as this
takes place it is thought the price of
local beef will also be increased.

of Yorkville for $1,000 insurance in tile
Mutual Benefit. The policy was deliveretl
about July IS. 1901. Shortly afterward
lie applied for and secured two
policies of $2,000 each in two well
known companies. The longer he has
the Mutual Benefit policy the more
pleased he is with it and the company,
and the less pleased with the others.
During the past 30 days 1 have delivered
him his second Mutual Benefit
policy, this time for $2,000. He is now
carrying about $20,000 life insftrance in
eight different companies, and says
that lie regrets that all of it is not in
the Mutual Benefit. The insurer who

George?He treats 'em right.
Say, if you want to be happy In this

WHEN IN THE
MARKET.
For a Buggy or Surrey and not too
BUSY to save money on these, call
and allow us to show you our line. For
a limited time, in order to help build
up this branch of'our business, we are
dividing our legitimate profit with the
purchaser.
We consider our customers our best
advertisement, but they are too busy
and have something else to do besides
this, so we take this additional means
of reaching the buyer.
Have bought largely in anticipation
of a good year's business, and If prices
and terms are any inducement, we are
going to move them.
If you will allow us to show you our
line and name prices and terms and
you wisely conclude you can get better
Inducements, we will guarantee you a
bargain. We sell nothing but what
has the guarantee of the makers as
well as our own.
