against loss. You hedge the loan of money {
about with mortgages or other similar collaterals.
If you invest in a piece of land, the title
thereto must be perfect. If you buy a horse, .
a sound bill of sale is required. This is wise
policy and the same care should be exercised
in all your business transactions. If you paint
your house the outlay is money "and you <
should take the same precautions and demand
the same security as to the future receipt of
value, that you would in case it was a loan.
In the use of Paints you can find the protection
you ask, only in the Longman <fc Mar

A Strong Endorsement.
Still they come and all in the highest praise. t
Office Piedmont M'f g Co., Piedmont, S. C.? t
Messrs. Westmoreland Bros.: Nearly two years
ago I contracted malaria into my system, and
suffered greatly from time to time from it in
various forms* in which it developed. Some !
times had severe chills and fevers?indigestion
followed it, and I was generally out of
health. Last spring for more than two months I
I was greatly troubled with a disordered condition
of the bowels, which I believe was the
result of the malaria still existing in my system.
I visited two or three mineral springs
celebrated for the cure of malarial diseases,
without the slightest benefit. I was also treated
as the different symptoms developed by the i
most skillful physicians, but was not relieved.
About two months ago, I concluded to try Cal- f
isaya Tonic, prepared by Westmoreland Bros., a
but I must confess I had little confidence of t
being materially benefitted by it. I have taken t
five or six bottles of the Tonic?from the be- g
ginning I felt relief and continued to improve,
until now I feel quite as wen ana in as peneuu
. t health as I ever aid in my life, and believe I
am perfectly well.
H. P. HAMMETT, President.
The effects of malaria in the system is a hard i
thing to eradicate, but will promptly yield to c
the wonderful and sovereign remedy, Westmoreland's
Calisaya Tonic. Try it.

can make more profit he may tell you he has
somethingjustas good, or just the same. Don't
be deceived, but insist upon getting Dr. King's
New Discovery, which is guaranteed to give relief
in all Throat, Lung and Chest affections.

E. Bainbridge Munday, Esq., County Atty., Clay

Bitters with most happy results. My brother 1
also was very low with Malarial lever and
Jaundice, but"was cured by timely use of this j
medicine. Am satisfied Electric Bitters saved
his life."
Mr. D. I. Wilcoxson, of Horse Cave, Ky., j
adds a like testimony, saving: He positively '
believes ho would have died, had it not been <
for Electric Bitters. \
