Kuteendal, Dear Sir: During the summer of 1886 I had my dwelling house remodeled, and in order to make a complete job, I had it painted, using Longman & Marti nbz' Prepared Paint. I used No. 14, ana naa three coats applied. After the job was completed, (and to mv entire satisfaction) I was told by an experienced painter?but not the one who did the work?that I had made a mistake in applying three coats, as the rosin in the lumber would throw off the paint when the work was subjected to the heat of the summer sun, and that 1 should have applied two coats at the first painting and after the rosin had been drawn from the new lumber and forced off, I should apply two more coats and then I would have had a complete job. But, notwithstanding the above opinion by an expert, the work has withstood the effects of the ravs of the burning sun the past summer, ana today the paint is, so far as I can see, as solid as when applied & year ago.
