I comneuced farming after tlio war on old worn out ands. It may seem like blowing, but I will now n point of fertility, compare farms with any one n the county." lottos against honey. The present low price of cotton and the large ixcess of supply above the absolute wants of the vorld, indicate lower, at least no better prices or the crop of 1883. If the short crop of 1881 lid not create a boom in the staple, nothing short if disaster to the American crop will ever do it. The bulk of cotton for fertilizers is delivered rom the 1st to the loth of November. Take these lates for the past three years, and the average irice of such grade as is* generally received in layment, has not averaged over 8J, possibly as ow as 81 cents per pound. At this rate, a ton of iur Dissolved Animal Bone, or Irish Bone, for 00 pounds of cotton, would make the time price n money from ?24.75 to ?25.50 per ton. We hold, herefore, and we think with good show of reason, hat it is the policy of the farmer to make conraets for Acid Phosphate and Guano to be paid n cotton. We are ottering the Irish Bone for 300 lounds of nliddling cotton, and Ammoniated lone for 400 pounds middling cotton. JOHN. C. KUYKENDAL. H. W. HOPE. FERTILIZERS.
