Liverpool Cotton Market.
Last week's circular of the Liverpool Cotton
Broker's Association says : Cotton has been in
moderate demand, with the tendency rather in
favor of buyers. American has been in fair demand,
and prices are generally unchanged. Futures
opened liriu, but after several unimportant
spurts closed dull, at l-64d. advance on the week.
The Cotton Supply.
The total visible supply of cotton for the world
last Satiydav was 2,784,332 bales, of which 2,192,232
bales wa9 American, against 2,827,866 and
2,409,596 bales respectively last year. The receipts
of cotton at all interior towns are 174,027.
bales. The'receipts from plantations 270,167
bales. The crop in sight, 3,568,524 bales.

FIREWORKS ORDINANCE.
BE it Ordained, by the Town Council of Yorkville,
that from and after WEDNESDAY;
the 20TK DECEMBER, instant, it shall not be
lawful to shoot Fire-Crackers or explode any
kind of Fire Toys upon any of the streets or
hitching lots of said town, or "to shoot or explode
Sky-Rockets within one hundred yards of any
residence or outbuilding within the corporate
limits, without the consent of each owner of the
buildings within said distance.
Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance,
or any part thereof, shall, for each offence,
be fined* not less than 31.00 nor more than
9-5.00 at the discretion of Council.
