August 24 34 5w* OBITTJATfcY. Died?At Clay Hill, York oounty, S. C., August 22nd, 1882, of congestive chill, WILLIAM , JR., son of Mr. J. C. H. and Mrs. Mary E. Duff, aged three years and Ave months. This dear lit, tie boy was the favorite of the whole family. Though very young, his bright little face, sprightliness and Innocent prattle created an interest in the family circle that will be as lasting as life. Of the six children of this young family, little Willie was the first flower plucked from the garden of the Lord on earth, to be transplanted in the . garden of heaven. His removal was sodden, indeed ; the perfect picture of health from his infancy to the hour he complained. The disease did quick work. It was a short time?only a few , hours?the lovely little Willie was bleached a corpse. His sudden removal hardly gave his affectionate parents time to consider and prepare for it. Sure'yan anguish must now wring tneir hearts that few know bow to sympathize with them. But we feel assured, from their Christian 1 meekness under the severe stroke, that they are i resigned to the will of their Heavenly Father who has taken the precious jewel to himself. His departure was pleasant to witness; be left without a struggle or a visible. pain, We trust that the bereaved ones left behind can cheerfully say, "Thy will be done;" "the Lord gave ; the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." THE undersigned would call the attention of farmers to the superior claims the DEFIANCE RUST PROOF WHEAT has over any other variety sown in this section. It is not only rust proof, so far as has been tried, and as is claimed for it by those who have used it for years, but it yields nearly twice as much as other varieties sown on the same quality of land. TbiH I have demonstrated. I would refer to Mr. T. W. Clawsou, who, the past season, raised 75 bushels from 1|. On my own farm, I raised 200 bushels on five acres?or 40 bushels to the.acre.
