FENCE LAW ELECTIONS ~
FOR the purpose of submitting to the qualified
voters of CHEROKEE and BROAD RIVER
townships, in York county, S. C., a PROPOSITION
TO ALTER THE FENCE LAW, in
accordance with the provisions of the Act of the
Legislature of South Carolina, approved June
7th, 1877, it is hereby ordered that an election be
held in said townships on SATURDAY, THE
1STH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1880, and that the
polls be kept open from 6 o'clock, A. M., until 6
o'clock, P. M., the form of the ballot to be as follows,
viz.: Those in favor will use a ballot,
either written or printed?"In favor of altering
the Fence Law." Those opposed will use a ballot,
either written or printed?"Against altering
the Fence Law."
The voters of Cherokee Township* will vote at
BLACK'S STATION, at which precinct the following
persons are designated as managers of the
said election : J. R. Smith, Ira Hardin, J. W.
Rhvne.
The voters of Broad River Township will vote
at HICKORY GROVE, at which precinct thofollowing
persons are designated as managers of the
said election : J. C. Chambers, G. C. Leech and
