TX conformity to law, and pursuant to tlio order
of the Coinptroller-t Jeneral, my bowks will be
open at YORKVILLE, on and after the FIRST
DAY OF JANUARY, 1?74, for the COLLECTION
OF STATE AND COUNTY TAXES for
the year 1873:
The amount levied for State purposes is twelve
mills on the $1; for County purposes, two-and-a
half mills on the $1; and "for the support of indigent
widows and orphans of persons who have
been killed in York county because ofthcir political
opinions," one-half mill on the $1; making, in
the aggregate, fifteen mills. Also, one dollar on
each taxable poll between the ages of twenty-one
and lifty years.
For the accommodation of tax-payers, T will
attend at the following places on the days named:
At Yorkville, on Monday, IPtli of January and
during the balance of that week.
At Rock Hill, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday, Jitth, 27(h, 28th and *2!?th of January.
At Fort Mill, on Friday and Saturday, 30th and
31st of January.
At Yorkville, from Monday, 2nd of February,
until Friday, the otli of February, the time for the
closing of the books.
The Treasurer avails himself of this opportunity
