We, how- I ever, notice the arrival of the steamer Indian, with Liverpool dates to the 28th ult, quoting a dull market and prices easier. There being no sales since the promulgation of the news, it yet remains to be seen what effect it will have on the market. The sales made previous to receipt of the news were from 9 65 to 10 10. Flour.?Unchanged. We continue our quotations of $2 85 to $2 50 per sack of 98 lb3. Com.?None in market?would command 80 to 85c. for good old corn. THE Executive Committee of the State Agricultural Society of South Carolina, beg leave to call the attention to the citizens of South Carolina, and the Southern States, to their approaching Annual Festival. The Premium List is a very comprehensive one, and Premiums will be awarded on every article of merit coming within the range of the Agricultural, Horticultural and Mechanical Departments, as well as the Fine Arts, Ladies' Fancy Work, and Domestic Economy. In addition to the large and admirably arranged nans lor WD accuuimouttuuu ui uuiuiwis, iuc Committee has made other and very important improvements, which will add mnch to the com* fort and enjoyment of visitors. A SPACIOUS AMPHITHEATRE will also be in readiness, to seat some thousands, and add to the interest of the Exhibition. The track for the exercise and display of "fast trotters" hasbeen put in order, and the trotters already on hand promise something exciting. Visitors will be passed over all the Railroads in the State, during the week of exhibition, for one fare. All articles and animals, intended expressly for exhibition, will be passed (at the owner's risk) over all the Railroads in South Carolina without a charge, except the South Carolina Railroad, and Cheraw and Darlington Roads, who will demand one half freight. Visitors should take the precaution to procure Return Tickets when they pay their flare, to avoid embarrassment and delay.
