THE CELEBRATED COPPER TOE!
Mitchell's Patent Metalic Tip,
DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR
Boys', xoutns ana umiaren s
BOOTS AND SHOES.
AN IMPROVEMENT has been applied to Boots
and Shoes, by which a saving of expense to
the consumer, of two thirds, is realized, by actual
experiment.
THE TIP
consists of a piece of copper or other indestructible
material, neatly fastened to the toe of the
boot or shoe, forming a complete protection. This
invention is now presented to the public, with the
fullest knowledge of its practical utility, having
been tested over two years, and is destined entirely
to supercede the old style, for Children's,
Boys' and Youths' Boots and Shoes.
The importance of this invention will be readily
appreciated, as it is well known that children invariably
wear out their boots and shoes
FIRST AT THE TOE,
and, with this protection, they will upon an average
wear at least two to three times as long as the
old style, while the expense is but a trifle more.
This invention is also specially applicable to
Miners' Boots, and all occupations subjecting the
toe of the boot or shoe to be cut or worn.
Merchants and the public generally, will see the
importance of obtaining these goods immediately,
as they arc destined, for general use, to supercede
all other kinds.
The Goods may be obtained of nearly all the
wholesale dealers in the principal cities, or of the
Subscribers.

SINGER'S SEWING MACHINES.
Price* Reduced to $50, $76, $110, and $126.
THE plain reason why Singer's Sewing-Machines
have always sold rehdily at a higher j
average price than any other, is that they are bet j
ter, more durable, more reliable, capable of doing a
much greater variety of work, and earning more
money. Long-continued popularity is proof of i
sterling merit. In the purchase of what are called ]
cheap Sewing-Machines, thousands have been
deceived and disappointed, but with Singer's <
Machines there is never any failure or mistake. ]
SINGER'S. NEW FAMILY SEWING-MACHINE, ;
the price of which is only $50, is a' light and elegantly
decorated Machine, capable of performing, j
in the best style, all the sewing of a private fami- ,
ly. It has secured a great reputation during the 1
few months since it was first offered to the pub- (
He. - - ?
SINGER'S TRANSVERSE SHUTTLE-MACHINE,
to be sold at $76, is a Machine entirely new in its <
arrangement; it is very beautiful, moves rapidly <
and very easily, and, for family use and light <
manufacturing purposes, is the very best and 1
cheapest Machine ever offered to the public.? '
These Machines are being increased in number as
rapidly as possible; and, yet the demand for them 1
cannot be fully supplied.
SINGER'S NO. 1 STANDARD SHUTTLE-MA- j
CHINE. i
formerly sold at $185, but now reduced to $110, is 1
too well known all over the world to need any <
description. Every sort of work,- coarse or fine, I
can be done with it, . <
SINGER'S NO. 2 STANDARD SHTJTTLE-MA- j
CHINE. {
This is the favorite manufacturing Machine t
every where. The size of the Machine gives am- t
pie space for almost every description of work, c
which together with its admirable working qnali- 2
ties, gives it a decided advantage. Price, with t
table complete, $125. c
Since the great reduction in the price of these I
Standard Machines, on the 1st of October, 1858,
the sale of them has increased fourfold. c
All of Singer's Machines make the interlocked i
stitch with two threads, which is the best stitch 1
known. Every person desiring to procure full
and reliable information abont Sewing-Macbines, 1
their sizes, prices, working capacities, and the t
best methods of purchasing, can obtain it by
sending for a copy of 1. M. Singer ^ Co'* Gazette,
which is a beautiful pictorial paper, entirely de- 1
voted to the subject. It will be supplied gratis. c
