IN pursuance of the Decroo of the Court of
Equity made in this ease, I will offer
for sale at public auction, at Winnsboro
South unrolina, on Monday, the 3d day' o
December next, (being the first l tonday in
that mouth) several THOUSAND ACRES o
the finest COTTON and GRAIN LANDS in
the State, belonging to the estate of John
Ilarrison, Sr., deceased.
These lands are composed of the follow
ing several tracts or plantations, viz
1. The tract known as the "liver Place,"
containing about 3.333 acres, more or less,
lying Imiediately on the banks of the 11 a
terse River. This plantation contains
about 1200 acres in original furo.M and
several hundred acres of rich river bottoms
now in a high state of cultivation ; and has
upon it, all necessary buildings, &c. It iv
decidedly one of the best cotton and grain
plantations in the Southern country.
2. The tract known as the "Dutchman's
Creek Place," containing 2,482 acres, more
or less. This tract is also a No. 1, cotton
and grain plantation, with a large creek
running through it, and has upon it all ne
cessary buildings for laborers, stock, &o.
8. The tract known as the "Bryant
Place," containing 545 acres more or less.
On this place is a very comfortable dwelling
houee, with a number of out-houses, &c.
4. The tract known as the "Sandhill or
Ilome I'lace," containing 808 acres, more or
less. Most of this place is in original
woois, and is a high and healthy place, and
is the homestead of the late John Harrison,
Sr.
5. The tract known as the "Concord
Church Place," containing 150 acres, snore
or less. Nearly the whole of this tract is
covered with a thick growth of the very
largest and finest long leaf pines, p)articu.
larly suitedl to Railroad purposes, shingles,
or anything which is 'made from pine tinm
her ; and it lies within two miles of the
lRidgeway D)epot on.- the Charlotte and
South Carolina liailroad, with a good,
level wagon road leading thereto.
6. TIhe tract known as the "Salt Pond
Racetrack," containing 100 acres.
The terms of Sale are as follows:lThe
purchaser of the "Rtiver Place" will be re
quired to pa~y the sqm of six hundretd dol.
tars, and one-sixth of the amount for which
it sells, and its proportionate share of the
costs and expenses of the stilt and sale IN
Q~A8h1; and for the balance a credit will be
given until the 1st of January 1808, with
interest thereon from the 1st of January
1867, at, which time possession will be given,
sectiredl by bond with at least two approved
sureties, aud a mortgage of the premises.
For all thte other tracts, one- sixth of the
amnouht at which they are bid off, together
with so mutch as may be necessary to aidl
the ".htiver Place" in defraying the eoste and
eixpenses of suit and sale, will be reqttired
to -be paid. in cash on day of sale ; and for
the balance a eredit until the 1st of Janu.
ary 1868, with interest from first of January
1867, at which tIme possession will be gi,
en-secured by. bond.with at, least two sure
ties to each, and.a mortgage of the preml
aes.
All the purchasers wIll be required to pay
itsocash fors titles, &c., and any purchaser
will be at liberty to pay in cash for thme
whole of lia purchase If he desires to do so.
