AN IMPORTANT NOTICE.
While The Barnwell Sentinel is
published in Barnwell, it belongs at
the same time equally as much to
every town and community in the
county as it does to the county seat.
The county paper prospers only as it
helps the prosperity of every business
man and enterprise in the county.
It is the means of comunication that
goes into the various homes of the
county week by week. We want the
paper to represent by special editions
from time to time the varied business
interests of each town in the county.
We ask the hearty cooperation of the
people who make up the various
towns in th^ county to put th4 busi
ness and social interests of their town
on the map by the news and advertis
ing columns of The BamWell Sentinel.-
Give us an opportunity to help you.
The Real Christina* Spirit.
* * *
Between two old friends in Vir
ginia before the Civil war the follow
ing conversation took place:. The
slave said to his master about a very
perplexing trouble “Massa John. Kin
yuh hep it. No, Sam, I/can’t help it.
Massa John, Ef you kaint hep it, then
drap it.” All through the year all of
us have carried our burdens and prob
lems, but Christmas time is the sea
son to drop all things and be happy.
We will not lose a thing in this world
by being happy for the holidays. The
same \>ld troubles and some brand
new ones lie on the other side of New
Years day, but we will be in better
shape to meet them.
We are so used to the idea that a
happy Christmas depends on what we'
get rather than what we give, that
we forget the happiness there is in
giving. A beautiful example of this
latter spirit came to us recently from
one* of the princes amon^r Barnwell
County Citizens. An opportunity of
fered itself to him to make Christmas
happier to another by its generosity.
His gift was greatly appreciated and
when he was thanked for it he said”
I have been a very happy man; but
1 am a very said man now. All the

Somehow we feel that Ihe Christmas

the best spirit in the world. It blesses

“When it comes to buillding a man
up from weak, run-down condition,
and putting new energy and vitality
in his whole system, Ferrolax beats
anything I have ever seen or heard
of,” said A. F. Lippett, who lives at
80 Sells Ave.,~ Atlanta, Ga.; while
talking with a Ferrolax representative
a few- days ago.
“Yes, sir, Ferrolax is all right,”
continued Mr. Lippett, “and it is the
only medicine I have ever taken that
hit the spot in my troubles. I suf
fered from indigestion pnd stomach
troubles and nearly everything I ate
would cause me to suffer afterwards.
J c*
I would often be so bloated up with
gas> after meals, I could hardly get a
good breath. Sometimes this gas
would rise dp into my chest and cause
my heart to palpitate something aw
ful. I felt tired and worn out all the
time. I never felt like getting up in
the morning, and rarely ever felt like
eating any breakfast.
I finally decided to give Ferrolax a
trial, and sir, it is simply wonderful
the way that rpedicine overcame my
troubles. Why, I never felt better in
every way in all my life. I haye a
fine appetite and eat three, big hearty
meals every day, and never have a
sign of indigestion or stomach trou
ble any more. Ferrolax is worth its
weight in gold to anybody who suffers
as I did, and I am more than gllad to
recommend it to everybody.”
