Friday was a great day to the youngsters amf grown-ups because they came to town to see the circus* Large audiences greeted both the afternoon and night performances of Sparks Circus. This is a gdod sHow- because the men behind it are clean and high class, who do not stand for anything that is questionable. The performances are up to the best and held rnany thrills for the audience. The parade was Highly creditable. The acrobatic performances could not have been surpassed anywhere. Hightower, and took away the beloved wife and mother to a beau tiful' mansion above. Mrs. Hightow er had been in failing health for sev eral years, but was confined to her bed only abopt a week. All that lov ing hands and hearts could do was done, but of no avail. God saw lit to call her home to her reward. She was nearing her seventieth birthday. She had lived a Christian life, and was loved by all who knew her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to the sick or any one-That was t*i need. Besides her husband, Mrs. High tower is survived by eight children and thirty-two grand children. The interment was made in Ghent’s Branch. Cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing rela tives and friends. The funeral ser- «*» vice was conducted bv her pastor, the Rev. C. W. Jones.
