Watermelon Rind pickle, Sweet Peach pickle, Mixed pickle, Plain canned tomatoes, Tomato ketchup. Bears, Soup mixture, Tench es, Apples, Berries (various kinds) Okra, Grape juice. Grape preserves. Apple preserves. Peach preserves, Fig preserve*. Pear preserves. Water melon preserves. Plum ’ preserves. Strawberry preserves. Jelly (as many different kinds as desired), One jar of every other kind of fruit or vege table on hand. No one will be allowed to bring more than one jar of any one pro duct. c To the girl who brings the largest variety of products a special prize will be given.- No prize will be awarded to any club member who does not put up an exhibit. The girls are hereby urged to se lect and set aside their best products as they do their canning work so that these will not be otherwise used until after the exhibit day. Spoctal Recipe*. Dixie Relish—1 qL ground cab bage 1 pint ground onions, 1 pint ground red pimentos, 1 pint ground green pimento, (sweet bell pepper* will do instead of the pimeptos), 4 tablespoon fulls of salt, 1 quart of vinegar, 2 tablespoonfulb of celery seed. 4 tablespoonfulls of white must ard seed, 3-4 of a cup of sugar. Soak pepper in brtne cone cup salt to one gallon water) for 24 hour*. Fresh en in clear cold water for 2 hours. Drain well. Mix all the measured materials. Add spices, sugar and vinegar. let stand over night cov ered in a crock or enameled vessel. Pack in small sterilized jars and boil 15 minors. Seal. Soup Mixture—Use 1-2 tomato pulp, 1-4 corn or small lime beans, 1-4 chipped okra. Steam corn on coh.15 minutes. Cook tomatoes un til tender and press through a col- lander. Steam okra in pan for 15 minutes. Cut tips of grain off of corn then the remainder of grain. Mix ingredients in proportions given. Add two teaspoonfulls of salt-sugar mixture to each quart.
