The rolls for this year are the
same as the 1917 rolls, due to
the fact that the new pension law
does not allow the old State pen

any manner. The comptroller
is ready to turn over a balance
of $101,628.00 which is left of

is the putting of teeth into Un

term that is fixed by the act as
a minimum is four months, al
though upon a petition of the
majority of the qualified electors
in a district the children in that
district may be required to at-'

ment of tlie law is vested very
largely in the work of an atten

by the couuty board of educa

of the officer’s time. The duty
of this officer will be to make a
census of all children in the
county who are of school age and.
of both races. This must be done
during the mouths of July and
August. During the rest of the
year it is the duty of this officer
