Miaaes Kulh and (trace Oliver, of S»an-
whictr has caused the people
of South Carolina to forget
the soleni pledges thev made
during the June \V\ S S.
campaign, because the sales of
War Savings Stamps reported
so far for August fall far short
of the July and June sales.
This indicate that hot only are
the pledges not being redeemed
by all who made them, but that
those* who were not reached in
the June plhdge campaign are
mot purchasing there share of
W. -S. S*
There are How left but a few
days during whi.ch the August
pledges mav be redeemed;
and furthermore, there are left
but a > few days during Which
War Savings Stamps may be
purchased at the present price
of 4*.IS). On and a Ter Septemter
tip* price of these -tamps
will hi* 440-each.
When the most encouraging
reports are being made in all
sections ot the c.ountry it is
somewhat discouraging to the
South Carolina War Savings
Committee that the men,
women and* children of South
Carolina should reglect a
patriotic duty that is being
faithfully attended to in other
states. Those who have not yet
redeemed their August plrdes
are urged to do so at once."
