vention assembled this the 10th
day of October, 1917, have
noticed the advancing price of
cotton and cotton-seed for the

WHEREAS, we believe this
has been caused in a great part
by the cotton growers Associat
ion meeting in /the sevoral
States; and
WHEREAS, we believe that
the price of cotton is not ade
quate considering the price of
other products; and
WHEREAS, the cotton mills
are making 100% to 150 per
cent on cotton ; and
WHEREAS, the cotton.crop
can hot bo utilized at once and
will be held for higher prices by
the Speculators ; therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, 1. That we
call on the farmers throughout
our County and State to market'
their ootton very^slowly; that
. the price is bound to advance in
a short while and will be. thirty
five cents per pound, and cotton
seed will be $1.50 per bushel.

pretty, as well as thg numliers
given.
Quite a, large crowd was pre
sent to enjoy the services, -and
hope fora repetition of the same
service at an early date.

tion will be held next-Sunday,
October 21st at Friendship
Baptist Church, begining at 10
O’clock A. M. All the Vocal
music classes, which have been
taught by the Clark troop of
teachers, are cordially invited-
and urgently requested to take
