ship, ospeciully those going up and down

from Orangeburg village, S. O, that
there ought to be a ditch cut four feet
deep and three wide on ench side of the
Old Charleston Dig-Road, extending
from the oppjprfJcornor of. Mr. II. F.?p
dcrburg's field down to lauds ot Mr.
Murfey. Along this road the water
abounds to, the depth of from three to
four feet, and makes it difficult (or
travelling during' tho winter season.
The public ought also to be concerned
ia this mattcr,?fo)r fhli si-iiplo reason we.
have been paying tax for the building
of bridges nnd other public highways,
and we, have, ipot enjoyed any of it.
?Other.public roads have received public
aid but ours have not. Other town
ships have been accommodated with
publio help and assistance, but ours |

have a chance at Uncle Sam's pocket,
nad I think if wc put our shoulders to
