Mcroncy & 1 lax tor's Stables can be seen
the finest horse that has been in Orange
burg within the lust decade. Ii has
been the pleasure of several of o ur fel
low citizens to ride behind him, and the
general expression was that he is one
of the best of horses. Besides the
above mentioned courser (named Goorgo,
and as black as a crow,) his uwner, Mr.
D. G. Martin has twenty-five or thirty
head of the very finest mutes aud horses.
Mr. Martin is a gentleman, and one of
the largest horse dealers in the country,
nnd our farmers will do well to call on
him bclbro buying elsewhere. Any how
the admirers uf fancy animala will be
facilitated in a look at his black.

disease is aa-nnning a rather formidable
appearance, and has at last reached this
State, if our advices from Charleston can
be deemed correct. We hear that
nearly all of the horses and mules in
Charleston are affected by this influenza,
and that business is retarded very much.
It therefore behooves ail of ??ur citizens
to be oil the lookout tor it, aud to pre
pare against its cuniug. Tho disease is
a kind of cold?canning coughing and
whetting?a sort of mucus comes from
the nose of the animal, an! he becomes
dizzy, aud if not taken in hand at onee.

very efficacious, and would suggest that

citizens should give it a trial.

people of all ages, sexes and conditions,
