The following is a correct- statement) of
Cotton raised by Slovens A Cureton. on ljt
acres of stubble luud, which was manured
with 100 pounds of Car^lnau fertiliser. The
following, is- the mode of cultivation: It waa
thoroughly broken up 12 inches'tieep, and
laid off in rows :',.\ feet wide, and tho Fer
tilizer applied in tho drill, then bedded on
it on the 16th of May, and planted ?he same
day, but owing to tho cool and- dry. weather,
