following is the mode of cultivation: It was
thoroughly broken up 12 inches deep, and'
laid off in-rows ftf feet wide, and the Far-'
tilizer applied in' the drill, then bedded on;
it on the loih of May, and planted the same
day, but owing to the cool and dry weather,
