There is geucrally a bright ar ray of talent at these gatherings, aud deop and thoughtful sermons may be heard throughout tho entiro meeting. Every man of a candid and unprejudiced miud will admit this at once. Wc had heard of the same Ecrmou months before. Last Suuday morning was uot the first time that this apostle ef Christ has polluted the pulpit by delivering himself of this sciniroligious political speech. He preached the same thing at Providence Camp-Meeting some weeks ago, and there tho more thoughtful of his congre gation disapproved, in toio, of its siguin cancc, as a communication now iu our possession will show. Persous who visit Ca nip-Meetings do so for tho purposo of hearing the Bible preached, of learuiug moral and religious truths. They do not go thero for the purpose of beiug schooled into the use of billingsgate. Po litical science, political trickery, politi cal meanness, and political prejudices aru taught too much, alas, for uur good ut homo, to rcocivo an impetus from the jjulpit. We think that it is using God's pulpit lor the most ignoble of purposes to preach politics over its board.
