Be it enacted by tho Sen ate and House of Representatives of ti c State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of tbe Bamq, That a ferry over Catawbe ^T^,$rn*?aoe fwhem a terry wa* formerly operated by Johnson and Perry, and about two hundred yan s from tho late John & Perry'e Mill, bo chartered and vested in Samuel McAli! Icy, his heirs and assigns, who shall be allowed the follow tag rates of toll, to wit: For a person on horseback, ten cents; for a one horse team, lilt eon ccuts; two horse team, twenty-fire cents ; three horce team, thirty-five cents; and four horse teams, fifty cents; ok tonms, Fame as horse teams; foot passengers, five scuts ; loose horses and mules, five cents each; cattle, three, ceuts; and bogs, sheep and goats, two cents each! ??c. 2. That this charter shall rema n in force for the term of fourtceu years : Provided, That children going to and returning from school, and voters going to and returning from their polling pre cinct on election dtiys, shall bo exempt from paying ioll nt the said frrry. Cnrltou was afterwards declared by the board of eyunty canvassers to have received the highest number of votes for coroner of said county; Be it Resolved, by tbe Senate and House of Representatives of tbo Stats of South Carolina, now mot aud sitting in Genoral Assembly, and by the au thority of the same, That Ridley K.
