Our citizens justly appreciating his
praise-worthy object encouraged the
idee. Mr. DeBerry fixed up bis Ap
paraina in the Depot, and as an experi
x tBont went to work. Wo are glad tn
Kbaar that the experiment baa been aatis
factory. Orangcburg can certainly bus
tain the Office, and we hope she will do
it handsomely. We never ksow how to
prise such things until they are out oi

man has learned from a rceent verdict in
a Federal Court at Memphis, that it
costs 81 GO. basidas lawyer's fees to en
close a letter in a newspaper mailed with
u two cent stamp on it. It coats the
same sum to write on the margin of a
newspapor, sent through the post office,
with a two cent stamp.
