The Police court reported hut four ar
rests during the month of November,
caused, mostly by the over indulgence of
"Inch John Barley Corn, for which in
dulgence 610 00 were deposited iu the
Treasury.

A sleep-walking adventure in New
Haven recently wus a very singular one.
The somnambulist Grot jumped down
sixteen feet upon u tin roof, and, still
asleep deliberately walked off to another
roof six feot lower. Not satisfied with
this achievement, be Wtlked through It
skylight and lodged on a table ten feet
below, aud in souia way crawled back
through the dismantled skylight, cutting
his feet badly in his struggles. The
noise awakened a man in tht house, who
found the man on the tin roonentirely uo
ootisciuus ns to how he eutue there. He
was wounded and hearley frozen, and
was taken brick into the house and prop
erly eared for. In all, it was the most
astonishing feat yf somnambulism on
