wade in 1809, is published. In 1800
the total pepulatiou of the State of all
colors and classes was 703.708. In
1809 it was 601,099 showing a docruase
?during the lest nine .years of 42,GOD in
habitants.

-Ooonty iu 1860 was, 24,896 in 18G9 it
was '26,842, an increase of 1,309 colored
inhabitants sud of 637 whites.
Revels the colored U. S. Senator from
Mississippi has taken kit seat in the
Senate. The Vice-President had to
restrain expressions of delight in the
.galleries. After the adjournment the
?crowd rushed enthusiastically around
him to congratulate and admire him.
Circus !?On Tuesday noxt, Grady's
?Circus will be here. This is a first class
and large affair, and will, no doubt, re
pay a visit. Extensive preparations are
being mado for the aocouimodation of the
men, women and horses, and wc expect
to see a large and delighted, audience at
its exhibition. Remember the day and
come!
