What the Farmer Must Know. ?The farmer, liko the business man, must know what he is doing; he must have some pretty decided ideas of what be it to accomplish?in fact he must ar CCuiplUm it beforehand. He must know how to put them in. He must know that it pays to have machinery to help him as well us muscle. He must know about stocks and ma nures, and tho cultivation of trees aud small fruits, and many other things in a word, he must know what experienced, observing farmers know, to bo sure of success. Then he will not guess?will pot run such risks. Value of a Pafeii Dollar.?The quotations of gold as given in the money articles or the daily papers, convey no fixed idea to the common mind. The information needed is: "What is a paper dollar worth?" The following will answer the question : When gold is quoted at 81 :10, u paper dollar is worth 91 cents nearly. When gold is quoted at 81:15, a paper dollor is worth 87 cents : When gold is quoted at ?1:20, a paper dollar is worth 83 1-8. When gold is quoted at $1:30, a paper dollar is worth 77 cents, nearly. Whon gold is quoted at $1 :8?, a paper dollars is worth 7-4 cents. Whon gold is quoted at $1 :45, a paper dollar is worth G*J cents. When gold is quoted at 81 :.r)0, n paper dollar is worth GG 2-3 coots.
