of October. It is supposed that the
'Court will he in session about three
weeks.

buggies, carriages, wagov* men, women,
children in admirable ud picturesque

House Square, or were grouped along

too, for nearly every one of these people

face, protruded into our sanctum, and
many an old subscriber praised and paid
us.' 'Every one was in a good humor
too. Men laughed, the ladies smiled
and the girls looked us if they would as
leave chat-with a porson as not. "They
made up glad." It was really a jolly
and a bbsy day in Orangcburg. Among
the features of the scene, wo noticed Jim
Williams, everybody noticed him, clad
and indeed in a new and neat suit of
clothes. He moved nimbly here aud
there in the crowd and oyes followed
liitu. Ho really looked neat. It attract
ed suspi. ion ; created alarm. Men were
