Walker v$. Mary J. Walker, petition for diwwee. The case baa been held under considera tion since last courts and the legal pro fession will bo indebted to the Judge for the very learned and able opinion in the ease. We have examined this opinion ; it will form a land-mark in futliro cases. The Judge distinctly indicates that the Court of Equity of tht> Stete always had tbe power to exercise jurisdiction in di vorce cases. We have long been ef the opinion, notwithstanding the uniform disclaimers of the Judge, and have al ways believed that a Court of Equity ooukhand ought to have granted dtvbrcee whero tliore existed the Iwript^raj justi fication. , II is manifest that Judge Orr wouid restrict the granting of divorces to oases of the most aggravated character, and he would not suit Chicago of the State of Connecticut.
