So uklp mk God." The Darlington Democrat* We arc in receipt of the first and second numbers of a new paper bearing the above ti tle published at Darlington, S. C. It is pub lished by Mr. E. P. Lucas, and presents a neat dress, and ample evidence of ability in its edi torial management. The Fair. Youth, beauty and gayety formed a league, to malic this entertainment a great success. The decorations of tho Engine Hall were real ly beautiful, and were worthy of tho inven tion aud taste of tho Indies, who directed their preparation. The patronage has been exceed ingly generous for these hard times: and our worthy firemen will have the satisfaction of receiving from the proceeds ample funds for the completion of their Hall. John Robinson's Southern Circus. On next Wednesday, this celebrated Com bination Circus and Monageric will be here. There will be ten shows in one, and every one of them a la Robinson.. Everybody knows that Robinson is the prince of Equestrian en tertainments; and "Robinson's Circus" is a historic name. Come to the show; and look at the CHIMPANZEE. Delegates to the Central Democratic Club will meet on Wednesday next, 28th inst., to consider the nomination of a Senator for Drangeburg, in place of B. F. Randolph, de reased. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 3d, at the same time ns tho Con gressional aud Presidential Election. On Friday the 16th inst., our market opened with a good demand, which became active during the day, and prices advanced Jc. on onr quotations of last week. The demand on Saturday was fair, but holders were asking prices beyound the views of buyers, which limited tho business of the day. On Monday the market became active with an ad vance of J(?.Jc. There was only a modern to de mand on Tuesday, and not much on snlo?prices unchanged. The market on Wednesday was rather quiet, und closed with a dtcline of J@,jc. The market on Thursday continued quiot, and prices easier. Sales for the week abont 4000 bales.
