In these towns Chamberlain received (19, 104, nnd Pillsbury 4$, 817 votes; being a majority of just 20, 317 for the Republican candidate. The remaining .towns gave last yoar 4, 237 for Chamberlain ?Ad 4,180. for Pillsbury. Allowing the proportionate increase for the vote ol these towns, Chamberlaiu's majority will be 20,401. On Friday the 25th iustant, our market opeued with a fair demand at our closing quotations of last week, sny Middlings 25Jc, but on the receipt of better accounts from Liverpool, prices advanced Jc, the market closing quiet. There was no change in the market on Saturday, tho demand being to a fuir extent, with a light offering stock. On Monday the market opened with a good de mand, but an advance in New York freights lessen ed tho demand until more favorable news was re ceived from New York, when the demand improved the market, closing with an advance of ^c.@Ju Our market on Tuesday was very firm with a good demand, antl closed at very full prices of tho day previous. On Wednesday our market was active, with an improvement in prices of Ac. Middlings 23Jc.@23Jc. Strict Middlings 24c, and a lot pre pared with the Gullet Gin, at '25c. The demand on Thursday continued good, with an advance of \c., market, closing rather quiet. Tho snles for the week foot up somo 2500 bales.
