a good demand at Tory firm prices, but without any
actual change ou our last week's, quotations. On,
Saturday tha demand in tho early part of tho day
was limited, and Hales wore made at l)c. decline,
but the demand improved duriug tho day, with a
butter feeling. The market on Monday was firm,
I and notwithstanding unfavorable news fromtLivcr
pool our prices advanced from }c.@lc., market
closing firm. On Tuesday, thoro was a good de
mand, but .the transactions Were limited, owing to
the light steck offering, Prices advanced during
tho day }e.(?? lc. On Wednesday the market was
very active and ox cited, with an advnnco of from
l"e.(o>2c. The market on Thursday was very quiet,.!
and prices easier, but not enough was done to estab
lish any quotablo decline. The. sales for the week
