"Nick" Metlzc, who lives about a mile from Swygert & Tiuimou's granite quarry, lu Lexington county, met witn a horrible death yesterday afternoon by a heavy piece of blasted rock falling upon his heal. A sand blast was put in and was connected with an olcctric battery by which it was exploded, Mr. Meetze, wi'h Mr. White, the foreman of the quarry, started away from the rock and went off about lot) yards Iroui it.
