The sheriff"s fears , werj realized this afteruoou when the nowd of the decision of the Supreme Court reached Turner. The sheriff at once took stops to remove him to another cell and to sourch him. Turner fought like a demon, but was at last overcome, removed to another cell, and chained. Three dynamite cartridges were found in hii coll and a vial supposed to contain poison, for which he Legged most pitifu ly.
