The investiture of Egypt's Khedive took |
place at the Abdi.i Palace, Cairo, a few dajs
ago. The ceremony was celebrated with
much pomp. All the British and Egyptian
troops were masse 1 in Abdin Square, fronting
the palace. Tribunes had been erected
on the sides of the square, and theae were j

and his Ministers assembled on a diss in
front of the palace, where they received
