Cincinnati, and Attorney General Pope immediately suggested the propriety of wtiting some such letter, showing thai Gen. Bonham was not under surveillance, and ho inferred that Col. Aldrioh, who was acting fir Gen. Bonham, wished the letter wri ten. The publicity of Gen. Bonhanfs reply comes from Qcn. Bonham, tho governor not re? eiving the letter until to-day. The governor thinks that his courtesy and consideration have been wasted. It is well-known that the sheriff had Geo. I had no idea what the paper contained. When the secretary returned with the copy Governor Tillmau folded the shoot of paper, put it in an envelope, addressed it, and banded it te Gen. Popo. Gen. The governor had the money transferred to the Carolina bank, aud on Col. Aldrich's presenting a telegram from the home office of the Union Central Insurance company of Cincinnati, asking Gen. Bonham to be there Monday evening to attend a meeiiug of the board cf directors, the governor informed him that Qen. Bonham was at liberty to go wherever he ohese, and at the request of Gen. This is probably the end of the matter.
