In no part of the census work is the line more extended than in the direction of Agriculture. That the farmers of Union County may have some idea of the information they wilt be desired to give, and may be thinking and preparing answers, we will 6ay that the figures for the crops of 1889. and not the growing crops of 1890, are wanted. Seme of the questions to be answered by ihe farmers of Union will be : Are you owner? renter for money, or for eltares of the crop of the farm ? Aro you white or black ? Acres of land, improved and unimproved ; value of farm, buildings, implements and machinery ; cost of building and repairing ; # , cost of fertlixcrs ; amount paid for labor weeks of labor employed; acres of grass land cut for hay aud pastured. Special money crops. The number of horses, mules nnd long-eared animals on hand June 1, 1890. The number of cattle, full blood, (recorded) above half blood, and native. Tho number sheep and amount of wool. The number of Vwino on hand; number sold or used on farm in 1889. The different kinds of chickens, turkeys, gco?e, ducks, aud the value of poultry and eggs so d in 1889] The number of stands of bees will be wanted, the value of hooey and wax. The acres in v^fpt, corn, oats, cotton, &'c. The total amount of milk produced anil cream and butter sold on farm . The orchards, that are the main dependence of many of our people, will receive special attention. These are but brief out lines of the many M-. questions to be answered.
