DYNAMITE IN THE STOVE.

A terrible dynamite explosion occurred
ten miles cast of l.o?;aiis|>ort, Ind., destroying
the farmhouse of Aaron It. York, killing
Ins wile an<l sixteen year-oiil dauguter, and
| fatally wounding his son. York purchased
| several sticks of dynamite, to be used in roj
moving the stumps on his farm.
That morning lie found thai the dynamite
was damp, mid lie promptly placed it in
the oven of the kitcheu stove. His wile
was cooking breakfast at the time, and
there wore four children in the house.
York went out to look after his
stock, but was not more than fifty
feet from the house when the explosion occurred.
The house was rased to the ground,
i?Mrs York and her daughter a ictoria woiv
killed. Cornelius York, a son, was mutilated
I in u horrible manner and fatally hurt. One
I little girl of four years and a baby of eight
months were taken from the ruins unhurt.

A shocking collision occurred on the International
