C., Not. 10, 188H. j W II Kill'.AS, a petition has been filed with 1 tho County Commissioners of Union county, signed by u majority of the freeholders of Suntuc Township, of 1'nion County, in accordance with the j>rovisions of an Act of the Gcueral Assembly of South Carolina, entitled An Act to incorporate the Chester, Greenwood nnd Abbeville Railroad Company," asking that the question of Subscription" or "No Subscription of the sum of twenty thousand dollars to tho capital stock of said company, which subscription shall be made in coupon bonds of said township, bearing 7 per cent. interest and payable twenty years from the date thereof, as provided by said Act, be submitted to the qualified electors of said township. And further, that the funds rcalircd on said bonds to be expended exclusively in the construction of said railroad front a point on Broad lliver, near Wood's ferry, to Santuc, by tlio most practicable route through the township, to Clinton, in Laurens County. And whereas, the said Commissioners have, by a resolution of their Hoard, fixed the amount proposed to be subscribed, according to the request of said petition, at twenty thousand dollars in 7 per cent, coupon bonds of said township; said bonds to be made payable twenty years after the date thereof, as provided in said Act.
