to us, dated February I I 188o, and recorded in
the otlico of tho Register of Mesne Conveyance
for Union County, February 18, 1885, in Rook
(5 No 7 of Mortgages, page 83, we will sell by
public auction before the Court House door at
Union, on the first Monday in November next,
the mortgaged premises described in said deed,
to wit : Nino hundred acres of land, more or
loss, situate on Broad River, in Union County,
and bounded ou the north hy lands late of
William Hawkins, east hy Broad River, south
by lands of J. B. Jeter and J. T. Hill, and
west hy lands of J.T. Ilill and others, said
lands known as the Triplet! place, the Bowles
place and the Betty (Jlenn place.
Said lands will be sold in one or more parcels,
anil pints of same may ho seen by applying
to H. R. Wallace.

on a credit of one and two years, in equal instalments,

W II Kit HAS, a petition lias been filed with
the County Commissioners of Union
County, signed hy u majority of the freeholders
of BogansviLIc Township, of Union County, in
accordance with the provisions of an Act of
the General Assembly of South Carolina, approved
the Ift'ith day of December lssl, entitled
an Act to incorporate the tl'cnn S; rings
ltnilroad Company, ashing that the ?['.tostion of
subscription or no subscription of the sum of
twenty thousand dollars to capital stock of said
company, which subscription shall be made in
coupon bonds of said township, bearing -ix per
cent interest and payable in lb, 'Jo an l J.?
years after the date thereof, as provided by
said Act, be submitted to the qualified electors
of said Township,
And further,that the said roa 1 do run through
the said township by the way of West
Springs, in a southeasterly direction, arid
as near the center of the same as practicable;
and further that the funds realized on said
bonus to le expended exclusively in the construction
<if said railroad within (lie limits of
said township. And whereas, ihe said Commissioners
have by a resolution of their Hoard
fixed the amount proposed to be subscribed according
to the request of said petition, at
twenty thousand dollars in six per cent, coupon
Konds of said township; said Hoods to be made
payable in installments of six thou-and dollars
in lb years, and in equal installments of seven
thousand dollars in 'JO and 'Jo years after the
date thereof, as provided in said Act.
It is hereby ordered, that an election be held
for said purpose, on Weducs iay the id day of
October ls8li, and that the polls l e opened
at the various election precincts within (he said
township of Hoagnsvillo, front 7 o'clock a. in.,
uutil 0 o clock p. in. of that day at which election
all the qualified electors of sai l Township
shall be entitled to vote; that the ballots shall
have written ur priute I thereon the words
subscription" or "no subscription."
The managers of the last general election for
the election precincts within said Township
are hereby appointed managers of the e'cctioii
herein ordered. Said managers sh ill make returns
and meet at the Court House of said
County and count the votes and declare the resuit
of said election and certify the same to the
Chairman ol the Hoard of Cjunty Commissioners
of said County, as provided by law, on
or before Friday, tlie l'?tli day of Mctober,
