C., Aug. .'50ih, 1880. J W1IKKEAS, a petition lias been filed with tho County Commissioners of Union County, signed by n majority of the freeholders of Dogansville Township, of Union County, in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of South Carolina approved the 20th day of December 1881, entitled an Act to incorporate the Glenn Springs Railroad Company, asking that the question of subscription or no subscription of the sum of twenty thousand dollars to capital stock of said ; company, which subscription shall be tuade in ( coupon bouds of said township, bearing six per cent interest and payable in 15, 2<> and 25 years after the date thereof, ns provided by said Act, be submitted to the qualified electors of said Township, And further,that the said roa l do run through the said township by the way of West Springs, in a southeasterly direction, and as near the center of the same as practicable; ] and further that the funds realized on said bonds to Lc expended exclusively in the construction of said railroad withiu the limits of said township. And whereas, the said Commissioners have by a resolution of their Hoard fixed the amount proposed to be subscribed ac cording to the request of said petition, at twenty thousand dollars in six per cout. coupon Bonds of said township; said Bonds to be made payable in installments of six thousand dollars iu 15 years, and in equal installments of seven thousand dollars in 20 and 25 years after the date thereof, as provided in said Act. It is hereby ordered, that an election bo held for said purpose, on Wednesday the 13 day of ] October 1880, aud that the polls be opened at the various election precincts within the said ( township of Boagnsvillc, from 7 o'clock a. ni., until 0 o clock p. in. of that day at which election all tho qualified electors of said Township shall be entitled to vote; that the ballots shall have written or printed thereon the words "subscription" or "no subscription." The managers of the last general election for the election precincts within said Township are hereby appointed managers of the election herein ordered.
