Convention began to resolve itself into its
original elements.
President Tindall addressed a lew words to
the dissolving body, expressing his appreciation
of the courtesy and kindness exhibited to
him by tlio convention in tho trying position
to which he had been called.

finding Hint the beneficiary
plan of snrporting Paupors outride of the
Poor House, ha- proved too expensive and oppressive
upon the tax payers of tho county,
have made ample arrangements at tho County
Poor House for the accommodation of all who
arc entitled te the support of the county, within
that Institution,
This is made necessary, in consequence of
tho heavy costs that is immediately necessary
for repairs upon the Court House and Jail,
which, in addition to the ordinary couuty expenses,
will dcjnnnd the closest economy to
ntakc the present tax levy meet tho demands
upon the Treasury this year.
The Hoard therefore notifies all who may be
concerned, that 011 and after the 1st day of
June next, all support of individuals, outside
of the Poor House, will cease, and all persons
applying for assistance and support from the
County, must file their petitions, properly cirtified
to by Drs. C. T. Murphy & Smith. Poor
House Physicians, ns needy and worthy subjects
for admission to the Poor House.
