A Melancholy Coi.ncidk.nce.?Montgomery,
Ala., January 1. ? As tlic south-bound train of
the Louisville and Nashville Railroad was
about four miles from this city to-night. Dr 1).
B. Hamilton, of New Orleans, fell from the p jatforni
of a car. The train w:<s alowing up to
cross the Alabama lliver Bridge. His head
struck the rail and caused injuries from which
he died in a short time. He was retnrning
with his daughter from Nashville and they had
in charge and on the traiu the body of his
daughter's son, who was accidentally shot and
killed near that city. The Doctors remains
were carried on to New Orleans on the same
train.
